Getting involved

Since the advocacy group isn't formed yet, there aren't any concrete ways to get involved right now. But some ideas:
  • Work with student and university groups to draft resolutions supporting bicycle/pedestrian issues
  • Create an online discussion forum for bike/ped issues and concerns, identifying problem areas, and discussing solutions
  • Research bike/ped policies in other cities and universities to learn what has worked and what hasn't
  • Develop bike/ped educational materials for distribution
  • Generate a group "wish list" for proposing campus and neighborhood projects to improve bike/ped conditions
  • Post signs and brochures promoting the advocacy group and bike use
  • Look into starting a free bike program for recycling donated bikes

Contact me with suggestions for this working list!
